When Sonja Bennett isn?t locking lips with Sheriff Jack Carter on Sci-Fi?s Eureka or playing a knuckledragger on Battlestar Galactica, she?s rubbing elbows with domesticated zombies! We caught up with Sonja for a quick ten-question update on her many projects and her personal feelings towards zombies...

1. Since you?ve had many roles in sci-fi and horror projects, do you have an affinity for either genre?

I live in Vancouver and there is quite a few sci fi shows that shoot here(Supernatural, Masters of Horror, Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville) so we a lot of opportunities to work in this genre. I think the rainy weather must [account] for it!

2. How would you describe the character that you played on Eureka?

Callie is the drycleaner in Eureka and she is also Jack Carter?s new girlfriend. Callie used to work at GD [Global Dynamics] on finding the formula for invisibility but she left GD in search of a more ?normal? life. She is very fun and bubbly and very taken with Carter.

3. Is there a sci-fi invention that you wish you could have in real life?

I?m renovating an old house right now so at the moment a ?smart house? ? like SARAH on Eureka- sounds like a pretty good idea.

4. What was the most fun part about working on Fido?

The most fun part about working on Fido was watching Billy Connolly try NOT to talk. Here is a very chatty comedian doing a role with no dialogue. He was going insane.

5. Would you like to have a pet zombie in real life?

If it would clean the bathroom--yes please.

6. If you were a zombie, would you eat the brain or the heart first?

Brains. They look like noodles.

7. Do you prefer fast or slow moving zombies?

Slow!

8. Besides Fido, do you have a favorite horror film?

The Shining. That movie scares the crap out of me every time.

9. What other projects are you working on?

Right now I am playing a knuckledragger on Battlestar Galatica.

10. What is your biggest fear?

Failure.
