Novelist Ira Levin didn?t write a ton of horror prose, but what he did write was among the greatest. It?s therefore with a heavy heart we report Levin?s passing from a heart attack. The news came from his agent on Tuesday, November 13th, 2007. Levin wrote for television and broadway, but genre fans will remember him best for his unforgettable Rosemary?s Baby, as well as Son of Rosemary, Sliver and The Stepford Wives. He is survived by three sons and three grandsons, and will be remembered as one of the first novelists to see most of his work converted to the big screen. Our condolences to Mr. Levin?s friends and loved ones for their, and the literary community?s, great loss
