In another savvy casting decision, Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire) has signed on to play Spock?s father in Star Trek. He will play father to Zachary Quinto?s (Heroes) Spock, and husband to Winona Ryder, Spock?s apparently human mother. In case you?ve been plugging your ears and gouging your eyes every time the new J.J. Abrams directed Star Trek is mentioned, the plot follows the early days of the Enterprise, with Kirk assembling his crew. With this new addition, Cross rounds out what will be a very pointy-faced family of Spocks.
