Exclusive: Doug Jones Talks 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army'
In what's most likely his first interview since he finished working on Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy II: The Golden Army last Friday, actor Doug Jones, a.k.a. Hellboy's best friend, the aquatic adventurer Abe Sapien, met up with FEARnet at last weekend's Mid-Ohio Con in Columbus, Ohio for an exclusive video interview. Doug's not only a masterful actor but a true iconoclast, having also played Pan and the Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth and the Silver Surfer in last summer's hit Fantastic Four sequel. He told us all about his three roles in Hellboy II (giving us a sample of his performances), Abe's romance in the film, what it's like to--at long last--voice the character in a live-action Hellboy (Abe's voice was supplied by David Hyde Pierce in the first film), and whether we'll see him return in more Hellboy animated films.
