The Joes get three more added to their ranks today as Hollywood Reporter announced that Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Said Taghmaoui all signed on for G.I. Joe. Stephen Sommers (Van Helsing) directs the film for Paramount, which is currently in pre-production. The movie will be based on the popular television show and action figures, and will now take place in Brussels. Nichols will play Scarlett, the counter-intelligence master and deadly martial artist, as Akinnuoye-Agbaje plays Heavy Duty and Taghmaoui plays Breaker. The film is looking for an August 2009 release. Until then, my hands will remain pruned from playing ?Operation: Aqua Base? with my action figures in the tub.
