Hamm Runs to stand ?Still?

Jon Hamm (Mad Men) has signed on to star along side Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly in a remake of the 1951 Sci-fi classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still. Hamm will play the part of Dr. Granier, a NASA official who brings aboard Connelly?s character to help investigate the landing of the alien Klaatu (played by Keanu Reeves). The story progresses from there with the alien leaving a message for earth: that they must live in peace or be destroyed. The update, directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), began principal photography December 12th. While this is an interesting addition to the cast, there?s no one I?m as excited to see as Keanu playing Klaatu.
