As 2007 comes to a close, many are taking the opportunity to acknowledge some of the best, worst and best of the worst horror movies throughout the year. But while everyone is counting down, some are taking the chance to hit up the theaters one final time to catch titles like Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, I Am Legend, and Sweeney Todd. What could really be better than ringing in the New Year with a box office chock-full of aliens, predators, demon barbers, and mutant cannibals?

This weekend Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem pulled in $10 million just barely coming in at #6 while post-apocalyptic thriller, I Am Legend, still seems to be holding on strong coming in at #3 with just about $28 million bumping its total numbers to $195 million. And though Sweeney Todd is off to a slow start raking in about $27 million total, we?re hoping to see the killer Fleet Street barber well into the New Year still in the Top 10!
