While we've been waiting forever for prestige pictures like Rosemary's Baby and Jaws to hit Blu-ray, it's comforting to know that some of our favorite cult horror is making its way to the world of high-definition. Few fright flicks are as cultish as Godfather of Gore Herschell Gordon Lewis' pioneering Blood Trilogy. Consisting of Blood Feast, Two Thousand Maniacs and Color Me Blood Red, Lewis' signature work offers viscera and (unintentional) laughs in equal measure. And now all three films are collected on one very reasonably priced disc from Something Weird and Image. With outtakes, audio commentaries from ol' H.G. himself, exploitation art, and the vintage short "Carving Magic!", it's a fine disc to play at your Halloween party. Assuming of course your guests have already eaten dinner.
