SDCC 2009: Marcus Dunsten on 'SAW VI' and VII

Just a few days ago we reported on the announcement that SAW VII had been green lit months before SAW VI has even hit theaters. We just caught up with SAW writers Marcus Dunsten and Patrick Melton at Comic-Con looking for an update.

Marcus tells us, If I may, if anyone felt at all hurt by the previous SAW (SAW V) Kevin Greutert's SAW VI is the home run. He pointed to the stands Babe Ruth style and hit it beyond the park and into the next stadium. It's the first SAW movie I've seen three times (laughs) and I kid you not, I will put my hand on a religious document and tell you, SAW VI is great and we're thrilled to be a part of it. I think that's also what helped  kick start the engine on Part 7 so we can get into it right away and take even more time and try to refine something that honors how damn good a job Greutert did on Part 6.
