Musician-writer-animator-artist Voltaire is a man who wears many metaphorical hats - in addition to the rakish chapeau seen above. He cut his teeth as an animator, creating creepy IDs for networks like MTV and The Sci-Fi Channel in the '90s, and has continued to produce award-winning animated shorts.
At the same time, he built a national following for his geek-friendly gypsy cabaret music. His songs have been in video games and on the Cartoon Network. He is also a writer (What Is Goth?) and comic book creator (Chi-Chian, Deady the Evil Teddy).
Recently, FEARnet's Audrey Cleo sat with Voltaire to talk music, animation and Goth culture. Check out our two-part video interview after the jump.
We ask Voltaire, "What is Goth?"
