Dark Del Lance Henriksen

As most every genre fan knows, Lance Henriksen is one of the hardest working guys in Hollywood, having appeared in all manner of films over the years. Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Terminator, Aliens, Near Dark and Pumpkinhead, as well as TV's Millennium, are just a few of the fan-favorite credits Henriksen has to his name. So his new autobiography Not Bad for a Human is decidedly more interesting than most celeb bios. We recently chatted with Henriksen about his autobiography; and I caught up with him again at a recent stop on his book tour -- Burbank's horror haven Dark Delicacies -- to discuss his next films and the series TRON: Uprising. Find out what he had to say about all of this goodness after the jump.

Blood Shot

Blood Shot is from a very young director [Dietrich Johnston] who has been fighting to make this movie come out. It was an original idea. I play the head of the CIA in an underground vault somewhere, who doesn't know he's dead. And his henchman, his hit man, is actually a vampire. So all the time I'm dealing with the rights and wrongs and all of these things, and it turns out I'm dead. But my office is still working. So it's strange. It's a wonderfully exotic little independent film.

TRON: Uprising

I play a big general in it, second in command from the top guy. And of course all megalomaniacs that are power hungry, they want to be on top. That's the character I'm playing. He's a rough guy and a manipulator. I know how to do that. I mean I've done it. Not in life [laughs] -- as an actor I get to do the things in movies that I can't do in life, like take my car and do wheelies in the street without getting arrested. So the things I can do in movies without getting arrested for, that's gravy.

Ambushed

Ambushed I'm excited for. It's directed by Joe Bauer. It's a real original, beautiful piece. We shot the first twenty minutes of it and showed it to Warner Brothers and other people, and it looks like we're gonna get our budget. A great thing. Just keep in mind Ambushed. You can't miss it.

Bring Me the Head of Lance Henriksen

It's a comedy that's all improvised, starring Tim Thomerson. I'm in it and a lot of other people are in it. It's a comedy based on ageism in the industry. I'm hoping to get it on Showtime or HBO. It's pretty funny.
