Sure, making a movie monster is tough, but it’s not like anyone can say you were inaccurate if the beast has too many teeth or its nose is too big. Not so when you are trying to turn a renown actor like Anthony Hopkins into renown director Alfred Hitchcock. That was the task set before FX makeup artists Howard Berger and Peter Montagna, and hair artist Martin Samuel when they signed on for Hitchcock, which tells the tale of the famed director and his most infamous film, Psycho. We spoke with the trio about what it takes to work so closely in the realm of reality.

We had 'Hatchet III' director BJ McDonnell drop by the FEARnet offices to give us the scoop on what it was like to tackle the latest flick in the "slasher" franchise as his directorial debut.

Steve Niles has been a faithful fighter for the little guy in the word of indie publishing and films. In Part Two he wraps up his feelings on the comic industry and looks forward to his own future. A future, it seems, that he is much more able to have a hand in shaping.

Not only are 'Saw VI' and 'Saw VII' currently airing on our linear network this month, but as of today you can watch both sequels streaming for free right here on the FEARnet website. And to celebrate, we thought it'd be fun to have screewriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton stop by the FEARnet offices for a brand new video interview and to reflect on the 'Saw' sequels since it's now been a few years since the franchise has gone dormant.

Valorie Curry has proven herself to be one of the breakout stars of Fox’s The Following. While Kevin Bacon is the star-power, Valorie is the not-so-quietly commanding force behind many of the followers. She plays Emma, a young girl in love with serial killer Joe Carroll since she was a teenager, now acting as the nanny for Carroll’s young son. We spoke to Valorie about her role and where the season is headed - and whether or not she will return for season two.

Forget cinema’s “male gaze,” [how’s that for a reference, fellow film nerds?] she’d need to term the phrase “car gaze” as the film completely, and unabashedly, fetishes every single inch of the beautiful red 1958 Plymouth Fury named Christine.
