‘Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate’ Coming to Xbox

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate committed a major video game story sin by offering itself exclusively to handheld devices.  While the amount of story it added was negligible at best (aside from a subtle nod to the Suicide Squad, it was a virtual throwaway), it was no less frustrating for completists without a Nintendo DS or a PS Vita.

A leaked listing on the Xbox Live Arcade marketplace hints that a deluxe edition of the formerly handheld-exclusive title is en route to the television-tethered crowd, promising “new maps, enemy encounters, difficulty levels, batsuits, and enhanced visuals” when it allegedly drops on March 25th.

This wouldn’t be the first time that formerly mobile-only titles have come to their bigger console brethren: Konami brought Mercurysteam’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – The Mirror of Fate to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in advance of their upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
