Words very seldom fail me, but when it comes to “No One Survives,” a new video from extreme metal band Nekrogoblikon, the most I could manage to spit out was a string of gasping noises followed by profanity-filled laugher and spilled coffee. I'll spare you that derp-a-thon and try to come up with something coherent: First of all, a band called Nekroboblikon is a thing that exists, which is in itself pretty damn awesome. But this video... well, it's just the most bizarre slice of micro-horror-cinema I've seen all week, and believe me, I've seen some nutty shit lately.
Suffice to say that this band hails from Santa Barbara, CA, and their latest album Stench is a rousing smorgasbord of blackened melodic death/folk metal, with some powerful anthemic choruses and symphonic/synth accents. The video, directed by Brandon Dermer, contains some impressive makeup effects, serious laughs, and one of the most hilariously over-the-top finales I've seen in ages. After watching this clip about seven times, it's a foregone conclusion I'll be tracking this band more closely from now on... and you should too, so drop by their official Facebook page for more heavy Goblin grooves.
Without further ado, behold “No One Survives!”
