45 Grave Contribute to "Demons" Remake

Horror-punk legends 45 Grave – best known to fans as the band behind the climactic song “Party Time” from Dan O'Bannon's zombie classic Return of the Living Dead – will be contributing music to the upcoming remake of another '80s gore flick, Kevin Tenney's Night of the Demons (a lesser outing than Return, to be sure, but it did feature Linnea Quigley doing that thing with the lipstick).

Founding member and frontwoman Dinah Cancer announced on the band's blog that she and the gang have been approached about the possibility of lending a few songs to the soundtrack. “The footage that I have seen is fun,” she reports. “Boobs, blood, demons, evil, party... sounds like a fun night to me!” (Sounds like any given Saturday at my place, actually.)

The on-again, off-again, now apparently on-again remake (recently wrapped production in New Orleans), co-written & directed by Adam Gierasch (who also co-wrote Argento's La Terza Madre), stars genre vets Edward Furlong, Monica Keena, Shannon Elizabeth and Tiffany Shepis – plus Linnea makes a cameo appearance for old times' sake. No release date as of this writing.
