69 Eyes Turn to Fans for 'Undead' Video

In a new announcement from 69 Eyes frontman Jyrki69, the famed “Helsinki Vampires” have opened up the playing field to their fans for the creation of the next music video from their latest album Back In Blood. The official promo clip for Kiss Me Undead will be directed by one of you aspiring filmmakers out there, and the vocalist kicked off the creative process by describing the band's original concept for the song. More details lurk around the corner...

69 Eyes already scored a double-hit last summer with the Playboy premiere of Dead Girls are Easy (directed by longtime fan Bam Margera) and December's follow-up clip Dead N Gone. But according to the new bulletin, Jyrki has even more affection for this particular track: “[Kiss Me Undead] has become one of the most favorite new songs in our set list,” he admitted. “When we were writing the song, I was thinking of a male vampire sleeping, like Sleeping Beauty or Snow White, and waiting for somebody to come kiss him awake... 'Kissing Undead' refers also to [awakening] a cold heart with love.”

But the band doesn't want to limit the vision of would-be video artists out there to that concept alone – they want to see it through a new and unique perspective. “Show what you got and use your imagination,” the singer declared, “to make this song live on the silver screen!”

Contest rules, song lyrics and other info are available through the band's label, Nuclear Blast Records.
