'American Horror Story' Pays Tribute to Classic Horror Movies

Now here's something that somehow managed to slip past me... Last month American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy enlisted the actresses on his show (along with the actresses on his other show, Glee) to recreate images from classic horror movies in a gallery of photos for Elle magazine, including star Connie Britton as Lee Remick in The Omen (pictured above). Check out some of the other ladies after the jump.

Below you can see American Horror Story's Taissa Varmiga as Carol Kane in When a Stranger Calls; Sarah Paulson as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?; and Kate Mara as Sissy Spacek in Carrie. For more images (including Glee's Heather Morris as Catherine Deneuve in Repulsion and Lea Michele as Julie Adams in The Creature from the Black Lagoon) check out the Elle website.
