Last week we told you about "Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't," the horror-themed single from the upcoming album Worship Music by metal giants Anthrax, which featured promo art depicting the band members battling their zombie counterparts. The band has now unveiled the über-awesome cover of the album itself, and the horror theme is still in play, with a horde of squishy undead and other beasties clawing toward the band's logo. Hit the jump for a close-up look at the cover and more details about the album!
The long-awaited Worship Music is the first album in eight years from the legendary metallers, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. It's also historic for another reason: this record is the first to feature vocalist Joey Belladonna since the release of Persistence of Time back in 1990.
"Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't," the title of which refers to a zombie apocalypse, is complimented by a superb painting from comic artist Alex Ross – whose credits include The Marvels, Kingdom Come and Astro City. Ross's work also graces the new album cover, as well as the band's previous releases We've Come For You All and Music of Mass Destruction.
"Fight 'Em 'Til You Can't" is now available on iTunes, and Worship Music is slated for release on September 13th.
