Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a third time...
Guillermo del Toro has teamed with Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick to develop The Hulk for television. This will be the third live-action Hulk in a decade (Ang Lee directed a version in 2003, and Louis Leterrier attempted a version in 2008). When will they learn their lesson? Hit the jump for all the deets.
The Hulk series will be developed for ABC, naturally (Disney owns ABC, and bought Marvel last year). It will be an origin story, telling how Bruce Banner became the Hulk. Rather than attempting a dismal CGI Hulk, rumor has it that Hulk will be a mix of prosthetics, puppetry, and CGI. With del Toro on the project, I actually trust that it will be handled properly.
The project will likely be slated for Fall 2012, to coincide with the theatrical release of The Avengers.
