Hailing from the UK, Jessica Harrison is an artist after my own heart, oftentimes infusing ample doses of horror into her highly unique artwork. From eyelashes made of fly legs to a revolting series of "skin furniture" sculptures, Jessica's art is tailor made for horror fans like ourselves, and the blood and guts are flying in her latest project.
As spotted over on the website HyperAllergic, Jessica has been using those porcelain figures that populate thrift stores and grandma's house as her canvas, repurposing them and turning them into gory sculptures that folks like us would be proud to display alongside our Freddy and Jason action figures. Using enamel paints and epoxy resin putty, Jessica disfigures the once peaceful figurines - tearing open their throats, ripping out their hearts, cutting off their heads and skinning their faces. Now that's my kind of art!
