What are some of the most badass vehicles in horror history? Stuntman Mike's death proof Chevy Nova? The Plymouth Fury known as Christine? Maximum Overdrive's semi-truck with Green Goblin's head mounted on its grill? Yea, those are all pretty cool ways to get around. But they all pale in comparison to artist Jitish Kallat's stunning creations...
As we spotted over on the Stan Winston School website, the India-based artist currently has an exhibit on display at Art Stage Singapore called 'Bone Vehicles,' which are quite literally vehicles that are comprised entirely of bones - well, not actual bones. Inspired by his own photographs of vehicles that have been torched and decimated during riots, Kallat uses steel, resin and brass to sculpt the skeletal structures of cars, trucks and motorcycles, as if the vehicles themselves were once living creatures. The fossilized remains of automobiles, if you will.
