Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures is set to go into production on a new thriller, tentatively called The Au Pair. The film is based on the book The Sitter by young adult horror maestro R.L. Stine (the man behind the Goosebumps and Fear Street book series). Dana Stevens (who wrote the Raimi-directed For the Love of the Game) will pen the script. Hit the jump for more.
According to the press announcement, The Au Pair "follows a young woman who runs from a troubled relationship by spending a fun-filled, romantic summer as a nanny in a posh Hamptons beach house. This dream job takes a frightening turn when she uncovers a dark secret that haunts her and the kids she's sworn to protect."
