Finnish epic-metal band Battlelore have posted two trailers for their upcoming sixth album Doombound – a dark fantasy epic based once again on characters from the pages of J.R.R. Tolkien. Totaling at nearly ten minutes, the videos include quite a few song samples, plus studio footage from the recording studio. Find out more about the album, check out the mega-awesome freakin' dragon on the front cover, and watch both teasers after the jump!

Battlelore is known for basing their songs on fantasy or mythical themes – not only Tolkien's works, but also the Finnish national epic poem known as the Kalevala. But Doombound is actually the band's first full-on concept album – taking its theme from Tolkien's tragically cursed Middle-earth character Túrin Turambar, who's based on Finnish folklore. But don't think this album is full of folksy lute-playing hobbits – these guys turn out massive symphonic metal, fronted by a heavy/clean mix of male and female vocals.
Doombound is slated for European release later this month, and reaches North America on February 8th. The Limited Edition release includes the bonus 10 Years of Battlelore DVD containing coverage of two concerts, behind-the-scenes footage, their complete collection of music videos and an extensive photo gallery.
