Black Tide's 'Bastard' is Back!

A while ago we followed the exploits of an ultra-violent animated warrior known only as 'The Bastard,' who starred in a series of mini-videos for talented young Florida metallers Black Tide to promote their single Warriors of Time.  Finally, the brutal time-travelling anti-hero of those segments has stepped up his game for a full-length video that just premiered on MTV2. Turns out you can also see it right here, so hit that jump and viddy well!

Bastard, the “living embodiment of metal” who serves as the band’s official mascot, kicks ass across the centuries in the bloody clip, going head-to-head with evil robot armies in prehistoric times, the Wild West, and the far future. The carnage was previously only available in small doses online thanks to the six-chapter Bastard vs. Bots webseries. The band has been doing quite well since Warriors of Time – and their debut album Light From Above – first hit the market last year.

Black Tide is preparing to hit the road again for the Vans Warped Tour, together with Bad Religion, NOFX and Underoath, so be sure to check out www.blacktidemusic.com for updated tour venues… but first, watch The Bastard in action right here, courtesy of MTV2.com:
