According to Variety.com My Bloody Valentine 3-D scored an impressive 24.2 million over the holiday weekend in the US, but the story doesn't end there. The flick also took in a record-breaking 1.45 million dollars on only 86 3-D screens in the UK over the weekend. MBV also pulled in an additional 460,420 on 101 2-D screens throughout the UK as well. We'll see if there's any sticking power here or if the good news is all top heavy. Regardless, this is all good news for horror fans. News on a fast-tracked sequel can't be too far off. Let's also hope this does wonders for pushing ahead on Alex Aja's Piranha 3-D.
