Two new casting additions to the upcoming Carrie remake have been made. Joining Chloe Moretz (who has landed the titular role) will be Julianne Moore and Gabriella Wilde. More after the jump.
Julianne Moore will star as Carrie's mother, Margaret White. In Brian de Palma's original Carrie, the role was played by Piper Laurie - a role for which she earned an Oscar nomination. Also joining the cast is Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) to play Sue Snell, one of the girls who started off torturing Carrie in the infamous locker room scene, but later feels guilty about the bullying.
Kimberly Pierce (Boys Don't Cry) is directing the new Carrie, set for an early 2013 release.
