Casting Updates: 'Bates Motel,' 'Teen Wolf,' 'The Strain,' 'Supernatural,' More!

Bates Motel

A&E's Bates Motel has added two more actors for its second season. Kathleen Robertson (Psycho Beach Party, Boss) will play Jodi, a smart, sexy businesswoman who is a "natural born leader who gets what she wants — personally and professionally — and she’s not afraid to use her arsenal of brains, charm and creativity to make things happen." I sense she will be a rival for Norma - personally and professionally.

Michael O'Neill (Justified, Transformers) will have a recurring role as Miss Watson's father, Nick. "A smart and potentially ruthless charmer," Nick is out to avenge his daughter's death.

Teen Wolf

Genre favorite Doug Jones comes to Beacon Hills as a "known killer" named Barrow. No word on whether or not Doug will be under a mound of prosthetics or "naked faced" but I would bet it is a little of both. Teen Wolf bad guys always seem to be half human / half monster (the werewolves, the kanema, whatever Jennifer is). Doug will appear in the back half of the third season, when the show returns from hiatus in January.

Gildart Jackson (Charmed, Zombie Hamlet) will play the role of Haggerty. While he is only scheduled for one episode so far, you never discount anyone from more appearances in Supernatural. Haggerty is one of the Men of Letters who will appear in a "flashback" to the 1930s. Again, this being Supernatural, it could also be a time travel episode. Either way, I am psyched to learn more about the MoL.

Wayward Pines

Juliette Lewis (From Dusk Til Dawn, Natural Born Killers) has signed on to Fox's upcoming event series Wayward Pines. Executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, based on the novel of the same name, follows a Secret Service agent who comes to the small town of Wayward Pines, Idaho, looking for a couple missing federal agents. Naturally, he gets more than he bargained for. Lewis will play Beverly, a "warm and approachable bartender" who is just as wary of Wayward Pines as the agent is.

Also joining Wayward Pines is Greta Lee (Inside Amy Schumer, Girls), who will play Ruby, a nosy barista who knows everybody's business.
