FEARnet fave Celldweller – the cybernetic brainchild of electro-rock musician/producer Klayton – is already a musical force to be reckoned with in the world of movies, games and television. But as we learned during an interview with Klayton this summer, the new epic Celldweller experience can now be found on the live stage thanks to a colossal multi-media show, through which he's been promoting his early works as well as his recently completed multi-part album series Once Upon a Blackstar and the new Cellout EP. If you haven't experienced a Celldweller show yet, we can give you a pretty wicked sample below the jump, in the form of his music video for "Own Little World," the band's latest single. Check it on the flipside!
"Own Little World (Klayton's We Will Never Die Mix)" is the first official Celldweller music video to be released since "Switchback" in 2003, from their self-titled debut album. The clip also serves as a preview of a forthcoming live DVD (which Klayton told us about in our earlier interview) filmed during their massive shows in Russia, Japan and the USA. The single itself comes from the newly released Cellout EP 01, which has reached #1 on the iTunes Electronic Album Charts in three countries and placed in their Top 10 in twelve countries in all.
In further Celldweller news, a new single entitled "Goodbye (Klayton's 2012 Mix)" will be released as an iTunes exclusive next Tuesday, October 18th. The song will also be featured in Klayton's DJ Set Performances early next year. More on that soon... but right now get a potent injection of the Celldweller live experience:
