The self-proclaimed “loudest psychobilly band in Canada” - better known as The Creepshow – have announced the release of their new album Run For Your Life just in time for Halloween. The cult-favorite hellbilly quartet will follow up their celebrated 2006 debut Sell Your Soul with a collection of “country-tinged punk rock shockers straight from the underworld.” Read on to find out more about the band, the album and their upcoming US tour!
The axe-swingin' Ontario team of Sarah Sin (vocals & guitar), Sickboy (upright bass), Rev. McGinty (keys) and Matt Pomade (drums) recently signed to top punk & psychobilly label Hellcat Records (whose ranks include Rancid, Tiger Army and The Unseen) to distribute Run For Your Life, which was produced again by Steve Rizun (Protest The Hero).
The ten tracks, which the band describe as ranging from “mournful rock n' rollers to scream-along boot stompers to raging punk fueled anthems,” include titles like “Demon Lover,” “Buried Alive,” and “Rue Morgue Radio,” the latter dedicated to the Canadian horror magazine's wildly popular podcast. The band will promote the release with a US tour throughout October, and in the meantime you can dig these creepy cats at their official MySpace.
