DevilDriver's Devilish 'Villains' Video Premiere!

It’s definitely been quite a week for metal videos, and now you can add another highly anticipated visual feast to your list, thanks to the video for DevilDriver’s new single Pray For Villains, from the upcoming (July 14th to be exact) album of the same name. The video made its exclusive premiere on – but rest assured, it most certainly does NOT suck. In fact, it’s a metal-loving horror fiend’s dream come true. Find out more below the fold!

The video for Villains was directed by Nathan Cox, who has worked with the band on their previous two videos as well as doing promos for Lacuna Coil, Trivium and Queens of the Stone Age, to name just a few. Highly stylized, it features each band member with werewolf eyes as they thrash maniacally in the depths of a haunted forest, while a black-hatted zombie cowboy challenges his white-clad opponent to a Gambit-like card throwing duel. Judging by the title (and the band’s decidedly diabolical mindset), you can assume it probably doesn’t pay off to root for the good guy in this one.

In closely related news, DevilDriver will also be headlining the “Thrash & Burn” tour this July and August, which is co-sponsored by MetalSucks. You can get more tour details right here… and of course, be sure to check out the video at this link.
