Sunday's season four premiere of Dexter brought record viewers to Showtime. According to the Hollywood Reporter, 1.5 million viewers tuned in to the 9 PM broadcast – the highest ratings the cable network has seen since at least 2004 (when Showtime changed its rating system). That's 25 percent more viewers than the season three premiere had – thank you DVD!
If you add up the multitude of rebroadcasts on that Sunday night alone, the total viewers goes up to nearly two million. Those are almost network television numbers, folks.
