DIY Monster Makers: Celebrity Zombie Bling by Slight Jewelry

There's a lot of DIY horror-themed jewelry on the market these days, but not as many many high-end designers have jumped in the game so far... which is a shame, because I've found that a lot of horror fans have pretty elegant taste, and quite a few have deep enough wallets to match.

One of the more prestigious jewelry designers to get into the horror business is New York artist Amanda Campbell, whose pieces have graced fashion runways and red carpets around the world.

While Campbell's company Slight Jewelery has turned out some genre-friendly designs, their nod to pure horror is the “Brains” collection – a line of  pendants, earrings and other elegant gold, silver and brass pieces shaped like moaning undead heads and anti-zombie weaponry (assault rifles, swords, axes, etc.), many accented with precious gems like diamonds and rubies. As you can imagine, some the items are on the pricey side, but they start in the $70 range, so there's something for just about everyone.

Visit Slight Jewelry to see the whole collection, as well as the popular “Punk Deco” line... the latter recently seen at the RoboCop premiere, worn by Abbie Cornish (who may not be sporting the zombie pieces, but I'm including this photo anyway, because damn).

Of course, if your tastes run toward something a bit bloodier, you might want to consider this slashed-wrist bracelet from That's Pretty...
