Dracula's Ball, North America's premier Goth mecca, has been seriously tearing up the calendar lately. The whispered tales of decadence and debauchery left in the wake of last month's event haven't even died down yet, but that hasn't stopped the promoters from announcing the just-finalized lineup for their new Memorial Weekend shindig. There's plenty of tasty news to share, so click on through to the dark side for details!
The chosen headliners are making their first-ever appearance at the ball: top billed is the dangerously demented German Gothic-industrial band Das Ich, who recently celebrated 20 years in the scene. Supporting them will be dark cyber-metal rising stars September Mourning from NYC, fronted by popular Gothic fashion model Emily “M” Lazar. North Carolina's DJ Spider (quite a tall drink of water, as they say) and Massachusetts DJ Addam Bomb will be returning also, joined by Ball newcomer DJ Fallen.
The party is hosted once again by the Ball's favorite haunt, Shampoo Nightclub in Philadelphia. Doors open at 9pm on May 23rd and festivities will continue until 2am. Tickets are around $15 (looks the best deal going is currently through IsoTank Music), and they tend to go fast, so be sure to slink on over to their official site [http://www.draculasball.com/] for details, directions and other groovy stuff.
