EC Comics was responsible for printing classic horror titles such as Tales From the Crypt, The Haunt of Fear, and The Vault of Horror.  These graphic comics were a leading instigator in the Comics Code Authority witch hunt of the 1950s.  But they still hold up today as models of horror storytelling, and are now gathered in a variety of hardbound volumes.  For the EC completeists, collections of Weird Science, Crime Suspenstories, Frontline Combat, and Two-Fisted Tales are also available.
