Exclusive: ‘Bite Me' Star Ryan Welsh's Top 5 Zombie-Killing Weapons

We all have our favorite method of dispatching the undead. So when I recently chatted with Ryan Welsh, the star of the zom-com series Bite Me (season 2 of which began airing this week on FEARnet), I asked him to name his top 5 zombie-killing weapons of choice. Find out what made Welsh's list after the jump.

Bite Me star Ryan Welsh's Top 5 zombie-killing weapons are: "1.) I feel like a good thing to have on hand, and I actually fought for it a little bit in season 2, would be dual hammers. The kind you keep on you belt loop would be good to have, because you never run out of ammo with a hammer. You can move them quickly; you can wield one in each hand, and do some serious damage that way. It's about as much damage as you would do with a bat, only you'd be moving faster. So I think the dual hammer is probably a really good one. 2.) A shotgun of course. That would clear out some space for you if you're in a bind... The problem with a lot of this stuff is you gotta think about mobility. You gotta be able to move fast, it can't be too clunky, and I'm a pretty wiry guy. 3.) So I'd go with a baseball bat. That's a classic. You can't go wrong with that. An aluminum baseball bat. I'm a fan of the wooden baseball bat in the sport, and the aluminum baseball bat in the zombie apocalypse. I have to make that distinction there... 4.) Molotov cocktail would be a great one. Just to have a couple of those in your tool kit, so you can throw those out there and wall off an area for yourself. Or it could be worse, because then you've got flames to deal with… With guns, the problem is you're gonna run out of ammo, and then what do you do? So I'd go with a lot of weapons like bats, dual hammers, and 5.) A golf club. It's whatever keeps them back… I feel like more than that I'd want to be fully outfitted in something that's hard for their teeth to break through. Wear gloves, cover your legs, cover your feet, something that covers up to your neck, and maybe a full mask. That's the problem – if you're wearing a t-shirt, one bite and you're screwed. It doesn't matter how great your weapon is… I've had to think about this. When you're in the basement and you're sixteen and you're playing Resident Evil, you start to come up with your own plan. [Laughs.]"
