Fans of the [REC] franchise, today is your lucky day. It’s been three years since the last installment, but finally, [REC] 3: Genesis is open in theaters and available ON DEMAND.

For those of you who don’t know what the films are about, here’s a brief rundown: There’s a mysterious disease that makes people do some awfully gorey things to one another. It might have something to do with demonic blood, or a strange organism.

Paco Plaza returns as director and co-writer along with Luis A. Berdejo for [REC] 3. The action takes place at a wedding, but the sickness is much the same. All that planning for the big day. Clara’s never going to get all that blood out of her wedding dress. This [REC] promises to pay homage to the series, but also, poke a little fun at it. In turn, fans the world over have been making their own [REC]-inspired videos and having some fun with the movie, too.
