FEARNET Comes To Flashback Weekend Chicago 8/9-11!

Celebrating it's 2nd decade as Chicago's largest and longest running Horror Convention, the Flashback Weekend returns to the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois on August 9th-11th. And FEARnet will be there as a sponsor providing some cool goodies and swags to attendees (while supplies last). On top of the usual plethora of dealers booths, special events and screenings and more, a slew of genre celebrities will be on hand for autographs including legendary director George A. Romero, actor Danny Glover, reunion casts for 'Pet Semetary,' 'The Lords Of Salem,' and 'Dawn Of The Dead.' There will also be a slew of cool screenings at the Muvico Theaters Rosemont 18 located right next door to the Crowne Plaze which include 'You're Next,' 'Hatchet III,' the never-before-seen lost 'Trancers' sequel 'Trancers 1.5: City Of Angels.' Flashback Weekend is Chicago’s largest and longest running horror convention featuring a huge horror dealers room, special events, and major celebrity guests including legendary director George A. Romero in a rare convention appearance. Flashback Weekend also dedicates itself to the preservation of the theatrical horror experience by featuring big screen horror presentations at the Muvico Theaters Rosemont 18 (located next to the convention hotel).

Special film screenings include a 35mm 45th anniversary screening of the original “NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD” introduced by George A. Romero,“PET SEMATARY” introduced by Mary Lambert and the cast, and the World Premiere of the unseen Pulsepounders “TRANCERS” sequel “TRANCERS 1.5 CITY OF ANGELS” (1988) starring Tim Thomerson and Helen Hunt. Director Charles Band will be introducing the screening and will have many surprises for the audience.

Friday August 9, 2013 11:00PM - WORLD PREMIERE - The unseen “TRANCERS” sequel “TRANCERS 1.5: CITY OF ANGELS” (1987)

In 1988, Charles Band directed the anthology film “PULSESPONDERS” which featured the first TRANCERS sequel. “PULSEPOUNDERS” was shot and edited in 1988 before circumstances prevented it from being released. “PULSEPOUNDERS” was thought to be a lost film. For the last 25 years, “TRANCERS” fans have clamored to see the unseen adventures of Jack Deth!

Recently, a “PULSEPOUNDERS” work print was discovered, and will have it’s World Premiere at Flashback Weekend 2013! “TRANCERS 1.5: CITY OF ANGELS” stars Tim Thomerson (Jack Deth), Helen Hunt (Leena), and the rest of the TRANCERS ensemble.

This World Premiere of “TRANCERS 1.5: CITY OF ANGELS” will be introduced by director Charles Band. The evening will also include special unseen footage from the “TRANCERS” set and many surprises, including a special announcement for fans of stop motion animation!

Join Patricia Quinn (Magenta) as she hosts a special screening of “THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW” at Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Patricia will reminisce and share many of her interesting and fun experiences while making this cult classic. She will then host a “ROCKY HORROR” Q&A sharing all the intimacies about the film!

She will introduce “THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW”, and you’ll have the chance to get up and dance to the “TIME WARP” and all of the other “ROCKY HORROR classics!.

Rocky Horror cast re-enactments are welcome and audience participation is encouraged! There is plenty of room for several casts to participate. Audience members are welcome to dress as their favorite Rocky Horror characters. Before the show all Rocky Horror casts and costumed audience members will be allowed the opportunity to pose in a group photo with Patricia Quinn. This might be one for the Guinness book folks!
