Though Eli Roth has very much been on the radar these last several yearsappearing in and producing a handful of films - it's been six years since he's actually done the thing he became known for doing back in 2002; writing and directing kickass horror flicks.  That all changes next year when Roth drags us all into The Green Inferno, his latest writing/directing venture that serves as a cannibalistic homage to one of his personal favorite horror movies of all time; Cannibal Holocaust.

Roth was a guest on The Tonight Show on Halloween night, and during his appearance he premiered the first clip from the film that most of us have ever seen.  Roth was dressed up as Edward Cullen - complete with wig, pale makeup and gobs of glitter - and conversation about the rigors of making the film quickly segued into the short clip, which shows off a snippet of the plane crash that results in the ill-fated characters coming face to face with a band of savage cannibals.

Though no release date has been set for the film, you can whet your appetite for Roth's latest by checking out the clip below!

FEARnet's own Scott Weinberg wrote that "The Green Inferno works as both a gut-punch horror film and a distressingly downbeat adventure story."
