NBC is really becoming a champion of genre television. In addition to series Grimm, Hannibal, and Dracula, they are working on a four-hour remake of Ira Levin's novel Rosemary's Baby. Yes, Roman Polanski's 1968 version stands as a classic, but let's just look at this as a new adaptation of the novel, not the film. So let's turn into the skid and check out the first photos from the new adaptation, directed by Agnieszka Holland (The Wire, The Killing).
NBC's Rosemary's Baby stars Zoe Saldana (Star Trek, Avatar) as Rosemary and Patrick J. Adams (Suits) as her husband, Guy. The pair are running from a painful past in New York and accept an apartment in an exclusive building in Paris. But if things seem too good to be true, they probably are. Their neighbors, the Castevets, seem warm and friendly, but Rosemary starts to believe the worst when Margeaux's holistic treatments are making her health worse and research reveals that Roman - and the building - have a dark and sinister past.
NBC has not set a premiere date yet, but I imagine it will air around Halloween 2014.
