First Look at 'Hatchet 2' Producer’s New Alien Film 'Unidentified'

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Even if it’s from outer space.

Jason R. Miller is teaming up with Dark Sky Films to write and direct the sci-fi thriller, Unidentified. This is Miller’s first time in the director’s chair but he is no stranger to the genre, having co-produced and worked as second unit director on both Hatchet 2 and Frozen.

Here’s the synopsis via Dark Sky:

The movie is an original mix of sci-fi-thriller and horror. During a wild weekend in Las Vegas, four young friends get into trouble with a loan shark and must skip town in a hurry. But gambling problems may be the least of their worries after they get stranded in the Nevada desert. One of the guys discovers a mysterious metal fragment, then promptly goes missing during the night. When the remaining three catch up with their lost friend, there's something different about him. As his condition worsens, the others realize that something unearthly might be stalking them in the desert.

Hatchet star Parry Shen has joined the cast along with Colton Dunn (Key and Peele), Eddie Mui (Call Back) and Eric Artell (Pair of Kings). Check out the first stills which include images of dudes acting all kinds of stupid in Sin City and what appears to be an oozing alien egg.
