Tim Burton has announced his line-up to voice the stop-motion Frankenweenie, his next project. The feature is based on Burton's own cult classic Frankenweenie short from 1984, where a man tries to reanimate his dead dog. Can we expect any familiar names? Hit the jump to find out.
In fact, all of the announced cast for Frankenweenie will be extremely familiar to any Burton fan. Deadline.com is reporting that Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice) and Martin Landau (Ed Wood) will play main characters Elsa and Mr. Rzykruski, respectively. Additional characters will be voiced by Martin Short (Mars Attacks!) and Catherine O'Hara (The Nightmare Before Christmas). Frankenweenie is scheduled for a Spring 2011 release.
