Years ago, there were rumblings that American McGee's dark take on Alice in Wonderland was going to be a live-action film directed by Wes Craven and possibly starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.  While that project may have died on the vine, the twisted minds over at Mad Hatter Collective have cobbled together their own fan trailer.  Check it out after the break!

While the trailer features little more than Alice (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Garbage's Shirley Manson) being lured back to Wonderland by her own madness, it shows a genuine love and faithfulness to the source material…which makes sense, as the director, Zane Rutledge, did work on the CG trailer for the original American McGee's Alice way back in 2000.
