In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Fangoria magazine put out a publication called Gorezone. For those who found Fangoria too safe or mainstream, Gorezone was page after page of the goriest, most gruesome images, articles, and interviews. When I was young, my parents were barely accepting of my Fangoria addiction; Gorezone had to be snuck into the house. And now I am reporting on it. Who's laughing now, mom?
Now Gorezone is back - kind of. Fangoria is putting out a limited edition collector's edition, called The Bloody Best of Gorezone. So where can you get this special edition, and what kind of goodies are inside? Hit the jump to find out.
The Bloody Best of Gorezone will be curated by Fango editor Chris Alexander, with classic articles on Michele Soavi's The Church, Frank Henenlotter's Basket Case 2, Scott Spiegel's Intruders, Tim Lucas's Video Watchdog columns, and Chas. Balun's Piece o' Mind essays. New grue comes in the form of essays by former Fango and Gorezone editor Tony Timpone, an all-new Make Up Effects Lab with Robert Hall, and a sneak peek at Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2.
And where can you find this magnificent bible of blood? It debuts at Comic Con 2011; after that it will only be available at Fangoria.com
