2010's Alan Wake was a unique treat: a game that blended the twisted world view of Twin Peaks with the supernatural "art as life" twist explored by authors such as Stephen King. It incorporated these into a light-dark game mechanic that required strategy amidst all the gunplay. Well, it looks as if Alan is taking his show on the road with the new XBLA-exclusive title Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Check out the trailer courtesy of G4 after the break.
It seems Alan Wake is leaving his usual stomping ground of Bright Falls for a road trip to face off against his evil doppelganger, Mr. Scratch. It looks to play just like the original, although the enemies look more monstrous than they did before.
Alan Wake's American Nightmare will be released exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade in 2012.
