Since cans of food play such an important role in the world of Xavier Gens' new apocalyptic thriller The Divide (starring Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Lauren German, and Rosanna Arquette), the folks behind the film have come up with a clever way of celebrating its January 13th release: the first 50 people in each of six cities to attend The Divide's opening night midnight screening who bring canned goods will get a free limited edition poster created by Mondo artist Jock. Details and a list of participating theaters after the jump.
According to our friends at Anchor Bay, "Anchor Bay Films has announced today that they have teamed up with Feeding America Food Banks and opening weekend theaters to conduct a canned food drive in conjunction with the January 13, 2012 release of Xavier Gens (Frontier(s))'s new film, the unrated post-apocalyptic thriller, The Divide."
The six theaters at which the food drive will take place are:
LA: The Nuart
Austin: The Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar
Boston: The Coolidge Theater
Dallas: The Landmark Inwood
Denver: The Landmark Esquire
And for even more Divide fun, star Michael Biehn (pictured above) will be making a couple of personal appearances on behalf of the film...
