The theme of “Body Horror” is well-known among genre fans through countless stories, films and works of art that focus on our fears of death, disease and old age, and the way those fears shape our psyches and fuel our nightmares.

Albano's works range from grotesque, faceless caricatures of the human form to twisted abominations reminiscent of concepts by Clive Barker and David Cronenberg. Many of the pieces look like the discarded remains of a human skin-suit... perhaps abandoned by a creature who had been wearing it as a disguise.
