The Horror of Leap Year Part 15

Today's Leap Day – the one holiday that doesn't have a horror movie devoted to it. To correct that situation, we've asked each and every FEARnet employee to submit a pitch for a FEARnet film they would make that's based on, inspired by, or entitled 'Leap Year'. Our next proposal comes from Jennifer Morgan. Check it out below.

Every 4 years, an extra day must be added to the calendar to keep-up with the astronomical calendar. Only on a leap year does the world save itself from solar disaster and in the year 2013, someone forgets to add the day. If it is not, the sun grows stronger and powerful each day thereafter killing off entire cities at a time due to the heat, burning off the flesh of each and every living thing. Those that are not obliterated by the sun are forced to seek refuge underground to combat the intense heat and stench of burning and rotting flesh.

All the while, a new breed of living beings have been underground shielding themselves from the external forces at work, biding their time as they wait for their feeding frenzy.

At first it seemed like a good idea for the refugees to seek solace underground, that is until, they realized they weren't the only ones...
