Surrealist art-rock group The Fuxedos are known for going all-out with wild costumes, makeup and insane theatrics in their performances, which often employ horror and Grand Guignol elements to maximize the insanity. They've made memorable appearances on Comedy Central and The Dr. Demento Show, and shared billing with notables like Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh, industrial band Nitzer Ebb and experimental metallers Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.
Fuxedos frontman Danny Shorago created and stars in the short film Mimsy, based around the track “The Jellybean Song” from the band's self-titled album. It's kind of hard to describe what goes on here, but suffice to say it's one of the most jaw-droppingly WTF clips you'll see this year. The song and visuals are reminiscent of enigmatic art-rock unit The Residents, crossed with Mike Patton's notorious band Mr. Bungle... but that doesn't quite do this one justice. Enough talk. Press play!
