Earlier this month we clued you in on a new online single and some mysterious promo videos from the band How To Destroy Angels – the new project from Nine Inch Nails founder Trent Reznor, his wife Mariqueen Maandig and long-time collaborator Atticus Ross. Now the band has released their first full-length music video for The Space In Between from their upcoming self-titled EP... and it's an incredibly eerie, blood-drenched effort that'll chill your blood. Hit the jump, catch the clip and share your thoughts!
The video for The Space In Between was directed by Rupert Sanders, a UK filmmaker whose previous work includes innovative ads for Nike and the Wolverine video game. It's an incredibly creepy mini-horror film, well-suited to the dark, haunting song itself, depicting the apparent aftermath of a hotel double-murder... with Reznor and Maandig portraying the victims. Her character is quite clearly dead, but thanks to some brilliant digital wizardry, she's still singing...
The Space In Between will be one of six tracks on the upcoming How To Destroy Angels EP, which is slated for release this summer as a download and physical disc. There will also be a full-length album to follow, tentatively scheduled for release next year. There's also a possibility of a promotional tour, though Reznor and company have not made that official yet.
Updates are coming soon, including news of other possible post-NIN projects... but first, check out the new vid below and prepare to be amazed.
