“Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.”
This Halloween excursion is not for the faint of heart. If you happen to live near Birmingham, or feel like making the trip to the wolf-infested forrests of the U.K., you and a group of friends can hunt the man-eating beast who only shows his furry face by the light of the full moon. Chillisauce.co.uk hosts an Overnight Werewolf Hunting Experience which offers fans of werewolf films a chance to experience the horror for themselves. The legend of the Droitwitch wolf goes as follows:
"Deep in the heart of the countryside, near Birmingham, Farmers have reported unusual losses of livestock, and missing person reports are flooding the local papers. Rumors surfaced of a Special Ops team disappearing 24 months ago – the only clues left were a garbled radio message, and a mangled corpse.”
Groups will be treated to basic military training in a werewolf-hunting boot camp. This includes the use of “automatic weapons, handguns and pump-action shotguns.” You’ll also be taught how to “lay out explosive booby traps, utilizing pressure pads and trip wires, and various other tools to help you live through the night.” After that, your group is left to track the monster until about 2am when, those who manage to survive, go back to their rooms and have a drink.
According to the site hunters will need the following for survival:
- Sleeping Bag
- Dress in robust outdoor clothing with appropriate footwear.
- to be relatively fit - you'll need to run (away) and crawl.
